What it costs

Olivet charges fees for its services, based on standard rates regulated by the Commonwealth Government. Fees vary depending of the financial situation of the individual and are determined by Centrelink assessment.

The types of charges that a resident may be billed for, as outlined in the Department of Health and Ageing website, include:
• Basic daily fee – this contributes to accommodation and daily living expenses.
• Income tested fee – also contributes towards the costs of care and assessed by Centrelink.
• Accommodation payment or accommodation bond – contributes towards the capital costs of the building and facilities. The accommodation bond is refundable, less a small amount retained by the aged care provider each month for up to five years.
• Additional fee – where the resident requests or agrees to additional services (such as newspapers and hairdressing).
